What is the ISEE?
The Independent School Entrance Examination, or ISEE, is a standardized test developed by the Educational Records Bureau (ERB). It is used most often for admissions purposes by private middle and high schools, but is offered for students in grades 2-12. At all levels, the test consists of five sections: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Mathematics Achievement, and an essay.
As high school admissions become increasingly competitive, getting a high score on the ISEE is more important than ever. Preparing your child for the test and familiarizing them with its specific structure and question types can go a long way toward achieving a high score.
